John at RTL and more - News July 2011
What's new to announce? Here's a quick overview:
28th July:
On this day the Ahmadiyya community presented John McGurk with a cheque over 500, – € for our project, “Child Poverty in Osnabrück”. Further 500, – € went to Humanity First e.V.
As in previous years, the Ahmadiyya community generously supports us by our projects.
We thank all of you, especially on behalf of affected children.
30th July:
John McGurk, held a speech before a large audience at the graduation ceremony in Bersenbrück.
It was the closing ceremony after passing the final exams of the craft guild in the old district of Bersenbrück. Among the guests were the parents of the newly minted apprentices, their partners, their instructors, teachers, members of the Audit Committee and the directors' guild.
After issuing the certificates of achievement and the ecumenical blessing, the upper master Mr Adolf Höveler gave the final word. Matthias Lahrmann took over the background music.
9th August:
Association meeting at 19:45 Ia. preparation for the peace run from Osnabruck – Münster on the 17th of August
8th September:
Our Southafrican friend, Josia, visits Germany and will join us at the marathons in Muenster (9/11) and in Berlin (9/25)
2nd October:
John McGurk is in the church service “The Others worship” at 11 O’clock in the Lutheran church to host
7th November:
Wreath-laying ceremony and handing over the message of peace at Ground Zero in New York in the presence of relatives of the victims of 9 / 11
John also worked as self affected child in a TV report on "Domestic violence against children" with the Broadcasting company RTL, the contribution was shown on the 19th of July at RTL "Punkt 12" and can be found in Internet at the following link >> "Häusliche Gewalt vor den Kindern"
